The position involves securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points on Managaha. It also includes investigating security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior as well as completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Position Responsibilities
1. Greet and assist all customers.
2. Patrol or monitor recreational areas, such as swimming areas on foot or from lifeguard towers.
3. Monitor tour group activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and aid in emergencies such as providing first aid or directing emergency evacuation, communicating with company officers and the company’s Safety & Health Officer.
4. Respond and rescue distressed people, using rescue techniques and equipment.
5. Examine injured people and administer basic first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment or obtaining assistance from paramedics.
6. Warn recreational participants of inclement weather, unsafe areas, or illegal conduct.
7. Observe activities in assigned areas to detect hazards, disturbances, or safety infractions.
8. Keep informed of shutdown and emergency evacuation procedures.
9. Serve as liaison between Adventure Guides, Customer Service Specialists, Lifeguards, Deckhands, Boat Mechanics, and Boat Captains.
10. Contacts emergency medical personnel in cases of serious injury.
11. Contact police or fire departments in cases of other emergencies, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
12. Patrol the outlets and surrounding areas frequented by visitors, patrons, or employees on Managaha to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates to preserve order and protect property.
13. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
14. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
15. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
16. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
17. Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
18. Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
19. Escort individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
